NEIGHBORHOOD MEETING

NEIGHBORHOOD MEETING CONCERNING ADDITIONAL INDUSTRY TO OUR AREA

Monday July 11th 7:00 P.M.

Anderson’s home 6591 Manchester Lane

Please read the attached copy of an editorial written by Mark Weber of the Eden Prairie News for the June 22nd issue to be better informed.

You may have also received a letter from the city TODAY regarding this project.

Some thoughts to ponder--------

• This project has already been given preliminary approval by the City Council at the June 21st meeting.

• We were informed about the proposed Forest Hills Park improvements but NOT about a proposed
aggregate transfer site in our neighborhood.

• If this area is zoned Light Industry, can this type of industry be added? Midwest Asphalt has been Grandfathered in. Isn’t this realistically an addition to Midwest Asphalt? Can they legally expand?

• Are you impacted by truck noise, dumping, dust, and smells?

• Will this affect our property values?

• What other areas of Eden Prairie have this type of industry?

• Will it have an impact on the wildlife in Birch Island Woods?

• Bring your questions and comments for Councilperson Ron Case who will be attending this meeting to listen to us. The Council will vote on this issue at the July 19th meeting.

If you cannot attend this meeting, you may drop off a letter to be read and/or attend the City Council meeting July 19th at 7:00 P.M. in the Eden Prairie Council Chambers.

This is our chance to be heard.
