Letter to Eden Prairie Sun Current and Eden Prairie News

To the editor:
The current and previous Eden Prairie City Council, city staff and the volunteers of Save Bent Creek win our enthusiastic applause for defending the Edenvale planned-unit development agreements and the historic use of and zoning of Bent Creek Golf Course as a golf course.
This all has its roots in the due diligence exhibited by the city several years ago, when it reviewed the Edenvale PUD regarding a defunct homeowner association's orphaned outlots. An equally necessary and impressive undertaking was made regarding the 105-acre golf course.

Large bouquets of thanks have been earned by Save Bent Creek activists and the scores of folks who sponsored meetings in their homes and showed up at City Hall for more than a year's worth of hearings.

Thanks to their efforts, residents of north central Eden Prairie stand a much better chance in the future of defending the beloved character of their neighborhoods and their communal values from the profit motive.
