| Hennepin County Board Approval of Woods agreement | ||
| The county proclamation was made moments after the County Board passed the day's consent calendar which included the resolution providing for the sale of the Birch Island Woods from the County to Eden Prairie. Mayor Harris and the Eden Prairie City Council approved the agreement on December 4. The acquisition of the woods for a natural park, turned out to be among the very last actions of Mayor Harris' long and distinguished life. |
